RS-232 socket to 3.5mm stereo jack plug cable for use with the Keene KIRA RS-232 system

The jack plug on the Kira RS232 is wired as follows:

The jack plug tip is output from the Kira unit to the RS232 device and should be connected to the input (rx) pin.

The jack plug ring is input to the Kira unit and should connect to the RS232 device's output (tx)

The jack plug sleeve or body is common ground.

jack connections:
ground: pin 5
ring: pin2 (rx)
tip: pin 3 (tx)
